Real money is arriving. Here's the practice ground.
Practical money skills for earning, spending and digital life
An 80-page workbook that talks to teenagers like capable adults-in-progress: planning money that arrives unevenly, subscriptions and social pressure, scams and recovery, first earnings and payslips, and what borrowing really costs. No cartoons. No scores. No shame.

What they're learning
In the workbook's own words.
"You will learn how to…" — and then it delivers, across nine sections:
Plan uneven money
Money that comes in at different times — birthday money, odd jobs, allowance — planned with a cash-flow calendar, a weekly plan and a seven-day record.
Spend without losing the plot
Needs, wants and worth-it-to-me; fixed vs optional; why price is not the whole cost; and the overspend reset — without shame.
Save with purpose
Goals turned into numbers, milestones instead of one giant finish line, and a first buffer — the quiet skill under everything else.
Spot pressure & digital tricks
Urgency, scarcity and personalised pressure; games, tokens and skins; the subscription audit; the Social Pressure Shield and pocket scripts for real life.
Recognise scams — and recover
Phishing, fake prizes, marketplace checks, "never move money for someone else", a scam-message lab — and the plain truth: you are not "bad with money" because someone deceived you.
Understand earning & borrowing
Hourly pay and time, reading a practice payslip, side-hustle costs, sales-are-not-profit — then borrowing: know before you owe, with a future-me check.
Inside the workbook
Eighty pages that respect their intelligence.
The design is deliberately grown-up — typographic, restrained, zero illustration — because thirteen-year-olds can tell when they're being talked down to. Every contents entry and bookmark links in the digital editions. There are no perfect scores: a money mistake is information, not an identity.
Real pages from the final edition, shown at reduced size.
Format & delivery

For parents
For conversation, not surveillance.
That's how the workbook describes its adult pages — and it's the stance throughout. Your teenager owns the workbook; you get natural openings to talk when they want to compare notes. One or two pages a week plus a real-life practice task is the intended pace. Nothing needs marking, because nothing is scored.
Why not free worksheets?
Free sheets teach budgeting. This teaches judgement.
A budgeting template can't teach a fifteen-year-old what a "free" trial costs, why a limited-drop countdown works on them, how to check a marketplace seller, or what a payslip line means. This workbook does — with practice messages, worked examples and scripts they'll actually use, in a design they won't be embarrassed to be seen with.
It's the teenage companion to Raising Money-Confident Kids — and the last workbook stage before the Ages 16–18 planner takes these skills into real earning years.
Age fit
Is 13–15 the right stage?
Choose this band when earning is on the horizon — first jobs, selling online, bigger money decisions with less oversight. If your child is still mostly in pocket-money territory, Ages 10–12 is the better fit. At sixteen-plus, the Slow Money Planner picks up from here.

Questions
Parents usually ask.
Will my teenager actually use it?
It's built for that fight. The design is deliberately adult — no mascots, no gold stars, no "fun" fonts — the tone assumes competence, and the pace is one or two pages a week. Teenagers keep using things that don't patronise them.
Is the scams section frightening?
No — it's practical. It works through realistic practice messages and checks calmly, and it says directly: you are not "bad with money" because someone deceived you. Recovery is treated as a skill, not an embarrassment.
Does it name banks, apps or interest rates?
No. There are no named providers, products or rates anywhere — the payslip and interest pages use clearly-labelled practice values. It teaches the questions to ask, not the products to pick.
Pounds or dollars?
Neither. The workbook uses words such as amount, price and total instead of currency symbols — write in the currency you use. It's a global edition by design.
What exactly do I download?
A Start Here sheet, then US Letter and A4 folders each containing the fillable edition and the print-at-home edition, plus the eight companion tools as individual sheets and a combined pack.
Is this financial advice?
No — it's financial education. Nothing in it is personalised advice, and real account, product and legal decisions stay with adults.
Do I need the parent book first?
No. The workbook is written to the teenager and stands alone. Raising Money-Confident Kids gives you the parent-side view of the same years if you want it.
Skills before stakes. That's the whole idea.
