Their money went digital. Their judgement should too.
Smarter choices, digital money & growing independence
Ten to twelve is a bridge age: money becomes social and digital — adverts, influencers, in-game purchases, subscriptions, friends who spend differently. This 62-page workbook gives your child a place to practise decisions before the stakes get bigger.

What your child is learning
Six questions that carry the tween years.
The workbook opens with them directly: How do I decide what something is worth to me? How do I plan when my money is limited? How do adverts, influencers and games affect what I want? How do I handle pressure from friends? How do I keep digital money safe? How do I recover when I get something wrong?
Values before spending
A money snapshot and a values sort, so "worth it" gets a personal definition before any budget appears.
Planning & first budgets
Money plans, the Allowance Ladder's next level, family contributions vs paid extras, and a first simple budget with a "what did I actually do?" review.
The Persuasion Lab
Adverts, influencers, unboxings, sales, scarcity and FOMO — taken apart calmly, one trick at a time.
Digital money, made safe
Prosper's Digital Money Rule — Pause, Check, Choose, Move — plus the in-game money decoder, subscriptions & free trials, and account safety.
Friends, fairness & feelings
When friends spend differently, the "everyone has it" check, money feelings, the trigger map and the do-over.
Growing money — gently
Interest as a tiny worked example, saving vs investing as ideas — education only, with the workbook's own reminder that it's not a product promise.
Inside the workbook
Sixty-two pages. This is practice, not a test.
Twenty-three linked contents entries run from a note for the grown-up through values, planning, goals, smart spending, the Persuasion Lab, digital money, friends and fairness, money feelings, growing money, four real-life challenges, a four-week independence check, family tools and a progress map. Work in any order, at any pace.
Real pages from the final edition, shown at reduced size.

How families use it
Keep adult financial pressure with adults.
That's the workbook's own instruction to grown-ups. Your role at this stage is lighter than at six: hand over pages rather than sit over them, use the Family Money Meeting when there's something real to decide, and let the four-week independence check do the structure. One or two pages a week, tried against real life, is plenty.
Why not free worksheets?
Because nobody's free printable covers loot boxes.
Generic money sheets stop at coins and budgets. This stage meets your child where their money actually lives: game currencies, free trials that quietly renew, influencer recommendations, group pressure and one-tap purchases. It gives them a repeatable rule for all of it — and a shame-free way back when something goes wrong.
It's the Ages 10–12 companion to Raising Money-Confident Kids, and the hand-off point between the play years and the teenage workbook.
Age fit
Is 10–12 the right stage?
Choose this band when money has gone social and digital but earning hasn't really started. If pocket money itself is still new, Ages 6–9 builds the base first. If your child is already talking about jobs, payslips or buying online from marketplaces, step up to Ages 13–15.

Questions
Parents usually ask.
Will it lecture my child about screens?
No. The workbook treats digital money as normal — because for this generation it is — and teaches judgement inside it: pause before the purchase, check the real price, know whose permission, name the purpose.
Does my child need to have pocket money or an allowance?
It helps but isn't required. Plenty of pages work with gift money, family contributions or purely on decisions — and the planning section includes agreeing how money arrives in the first place.
What exactly do I download?
One bundle: a Start Here guide, then A4 and US Letter folders each containing the digital edition, the fillable edition, and the eight printable extras.
Is the investing content giving my child financial advice?
No. Growing money is introduced as ideas — a tiny worked interest example, and saving vs investing as concepts. The workbook itself labels the example "not a product promise" and keeps real financial decisions with adults.
Does it use pounds or dollars?
Neither — it's currency-neutral throughout, using plain units so it works in any country. Your family's own money supplies the real numbers.
Can my child fill it in on a tablet?
Yes — the fillable edition has real form fields (text, tick boxes and choices) and saves answers in your copy. It's best opened in the free Adobe Acrobat Reader.
Do I need the parent book first?
No — it stands alone. The book adds the family method behind it, and is where the age-by-age approach comes from.
